G3 Drones For Good is an exciting STEM competition involving drones for students in grades 6 - 8. Middle school students will work with their mentors and teachers to develop an innovative drone-based solution to a problem in their community, state, or the world. They will build and fly their own K'Nex based drones.  Examples of G3-DFG drones built in past years can be found in the pictures on this page and this video that explains how the basic kit we provide is assembled. Students will develop research, problem-solving, and communication skills while designing, building, and flying their own drones.

The G3 Drones for Good 2017 season had its kick-off on January 14 and ended with the competition on March 25, with over 30 competing teams. The 2018 season will begin next January. If you or your team are interested in starting a hub in your area and hosting a competition, fill out the form on this page and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
