What is FLL?

In the 8-week FLL build season, students in grades 4-8 design, construct and program a Lego Mindstorms (c) robot for the current year's game challenge and develop a creative solution to a real world problem.

FLL Tournament Information

The 5th Annual G3 Robotics FLL Tournament and Junior FLL Exhibition this year was held at Grady High School on December 10th, 2016. 

For more information visit the Challenge Guide, which will include the specific details about this tournament, including the game's objective, FLL's mission, materials, important dates and other key information that you will need in order to prepare for your tournament experience.

A week prior to the tournament, teams will receive a detailed schedule of the day's events. This will give more details on the tournament logistics, and will better prepare teams for the upcoming competition.

Volunteering Instructions:

  • Click “Apply for an Event” button
    • Select program “FLL – FIRST Lego League”
    • Select State/Province “Georgia”
    • Fill in Search by Event Name: G3
    • Click “Search”
    • Click “Select” for G3 Robotics FLL Regional
  • Complete the Role Application
    • Follow the instructions on this page to select up to four roles.  If you have previous experience as a judge, please be sure to apply for that role.  Please select specific roles and avoid “Assign Me as Needed.”
    • To see the description of a role, click the title of the role and then click the “Display Role Description” button below the list.
    • Select the Days(s) available: Saturday (12/10)
    • Optional: Time Availability/Comments: describe any specific time availability limitations, or any other information you wish to provide.
    • Click “Apply for Selected” button
  • Background Screening: After you submit your application to volunteer at our event, you will be prompted to proceed to the screening website for subsequent steps. Please note that you will not be eligible to be assigned to a role at a FIRST event until you have submitted your screening order and received a "Passed" status. If you were previously screened, your profile will indicate that your status is "Passed". We encourage you to begin the screening process as soon as possible. For screening questions, please contact the Youth Protection Department at (800) 871-8326 Ext. 207 or 250, or at SafetyFIRST@firstinspires.org.
