G3 Drones For Good is an exciting STEM competition involving drones for students in grades 6 - 8. Middle school students will work with their mentors and teachers to develop an innovative drone-based solution to a problem in their community, state, or the world. They will build and fly their own K'Nex based drones. Examples of G3-DFG drones built in past years can be found in the pictures on this page and this video that explains how the basic kit we provide is assembled. Students will develop research, problem-solving, and communication skills while designing, building, and flying their own drones. The G3 Drones for Good 2018 season had its kick-off on January 13 and ended with competitions on March 10 and March 24, with 60 competing teams. Registration is now open for the G3-DFG 2019 Season, which will kick off in January. Click here to begin registration.
