RubBer Band racer

Materials needed:

• 2 straws

• 4 toothpicks

• 4 container lids (bottle caps, etc.)

• Hot glue gun

• Drill (with small drill bits)

Steps:

1. On each end of both of the straws, drill one hole ½ an inch away from the end, and another 1 inch away from the end.

2. Put the toothpicks through the straw holes and glue them. 

3. Once the glue is dried, cut the pointed ends of the inner toothpicks off.

4. Now, drill a hole into the center of each container lid

5. Drill a hole in the toothpick and glue the tip of the toothpick as pictured.

6. Place the toothpicks in the hole of the lids and glue.

7. Attach the rubber band to the car like pictured.

8. To use your car, wind the wheels backwards to tighten the rubber band, and release.
