Midtown Gaming Gauntlet (G5):
G5 is a fundraising event for the team in which we host a video game night on a Friday at our school for people to hang out and have a good time, as well as raise money for the team and our outreach programs. This is where people come together over fun games and even more fun conversations. We hold both free play events for those who want a carefree Friday evening and competitive events for those who really want to show off their skills.
Habitat for Humanity
G3 participates in annual Habitat for Humanity builds, where we volunteer to build houses for underprivileged communities in our area.
SPARK Science Night
G3 attended SPARK Science Night for kids and showed our robots to kids and programmed so that the kids would be able to drive them, and additionally showcased drones from our Drones for Good program.
ASF Race Through Space
The ASF Race Through Space was an exciting 5K. Runners were assigned different planets to represent during the race. The planets were represented by various organizations, and G3 represented the planet Mars!
Maker Faire
G3 had a booth at the Maker Faire and showcased our robot and drones program to everyone that stopped by. Students from the surrounding area would come to learn more about STEM activities they can get involved with.
Little 5 Points Halloween Parade
G3 helped to marshal at the Little 5 Points Halloween parade. We had a great time coming out, and we love to get involved with events like this within our communities!
