Erik Boyle | Lead Mentor - Mechanical |

Erik Boyle (M.A., Georgia Institute of Technology) is a mechanical engineer at Syntegon. He's been a FIRST mentor since 2015, previously competing with FRC teams 4640 and 395. Joining G3 Team 1648 in 2019. Erik enjoys sharing FIRST values, professional and life skills with team members. He has attended more FRC competitions than any other G3 mentor, logging experience in high school, as a college student, and as a mentor. Still going, he continues to serve as lead mentor for the team since 2022.

Vinton Wolf | Founding Mentor |

Vinton Wolfe is the team’s longest-serving volunteer as a founding mentor of G3 Robotics. He has ensured shop safety training for more than 20 years - and has hauled the robot to countless venues. The team would not be where it is today without him.

Eric Kauffman | Engineering Mentor and Awards Coach |

Eric Kauffman (M.B.A., Emory University) is a director of business development at TMEIC in Atlanta. Joining G3 in 2021, he contributes 15 years of FIRST experience, including mentoring teams to 10 World Championship appearances. Also an inventor, Eric owns nine issued patents!

Russel McIntosh | Engineering Mentor - Mechanical |

Russell McIntosh (B.A., University of Purdue) is a software consultant at Deloitte with an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering. He offers two years of experience as a mentor after competing as a member of team 1747 for four years while in high school. Russell specializes in mechanical design and fabrication, and loves 3D printing and CADing. He joined the team in 2023.

Brian Page | Engineering Mentor - Electrical |

Brian Page (B.A., University of Calgary) has an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering. In 2020, he retired from Genband, where he was a sales engineer and network architect. Notably, he was technology director for the 1996 Olympic Games and received a Certificate of Olympic Merit for his work. Since 2022, he’s brought his expertise to his new relationship with FIRST and G3’s FRC Team 1648.

Carl Zinn III | Engineering Mentor - Mechanical |

Carl Zinn (B.A. Georgia Institute of Technology) is a mechanical engineering manager at Dematics, Atlanta, with an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering. He currently mentors two different FRC teams, including G3. Additionally, Carl is a rider coach for the Motorcycle Safety Foundation.

Christian Rodriguez | Engineering Mentor - Mechanical |

Christian Rodriguez (B.A., University of South Carolina) is a mechanical applications engineer at Dematics, Atlanta, with an undergraduate degree in engineering technology management. Fluent in Spanish, he also formerly worked as a motorsports photographer. He joins FIRST and G3 as a mentor in 2024.

Ankit Agrawal | Engineering Mentor - Mechanical |

Ankit (B.S., Georgia Institute of Technology) is a senior studying computer science. He is currently a programming mentor and works in IT. Ankit participated in FRC during high school and mentored Team 422 last year. In addition to his passion for robotics, Ankit enjoys playing badminton.

Business Operations

Nicole Horn | Business and Advocacy Mentor |

Nicole Horn (B.A., Emory University) founded ThirdEdge Performance Solutions and co-led the development of a successful higher education consulting firm with Jon Horn, which they later sold for millions. She serves as a mentor for the business side of G3, where her son was also a member. In addition, Nicole is a passionate political activist and writer.

Sophia Skordeles | Business and Outreach Mentor |

Sophia Skordeles is currently earning her master’s in social work. She has served as a mentor for the business side of G3 since 2024. An alumni of FRC team 2974, she also has experience mentoring FLL and FTC teams.

Sophia enjoys reading, crocheting, and hiking in her free time.

Kiran Shenoy | Business and Outreach Mentor |

Kiran Shenoy (B.S. University of Georgia) studied Mechanical Engineering at UGA and worked as a Hardware Engineer at NCR. He is currently working at The Home Depot as a Senior Business Analyst, supporting the Doors and Windows merchants. He joined G3 as a business mentor in Fall 2024, and he is a FIRST alumnus, participating as a member of the Walton Robotics team from 2013-2017.

His hobbies include running, drumming, and playing with his cats.

Teacher sponsors

Angela Marshall | Head Coach, Lead Teacher-Sponsor |

Angela Marshall (B.A., Purdue University)  is the team’s head coach and a Midtown High School math teacher with an undergraduate degree in industrial engineering. A former business unit manager at Siemens, this is her second season with G3 Team 1648. When not in robotics. Angela enjoys reading, traveling, and math.

Alexander Santos | Teacher-Sponsor |

Alexander Santos (B.S., Florida International University) is a physics teacher at Midtown High School. He graduated from FIU with a bachelor’s degree in engineering. In 2024, he will join G3 as a teacher sponsor, starting his first year with the program. Outside of his work in the classroom, Alexander enjoys playing golf.

Tre'Nee Uzoka | Teacher-Sponsor |

Ms. Tre'Nee Uzoka is proud to serve as the teacher sponsor for G3 Robotics for a second year. With a strong passion for STEM education and student empowerment, she brings enthusiasm, creativity, and support to the team. Ms. Uzoka is a dedicated educator at Midtown High School, where she teaches AP Computer Science Principles and Foundations of Algebra, and serves as the Math Department Chair. She is also an advocate for equity in computer science and actively supports student participation in STEAM-related opportunities. Outside the classroom, Ms. Uzoka enjoys traveling around the world with family and friends. She also loves finding innovative ways to connect real-world applications to STEM learning and watching students grow as problem solvers, leaders, and collaborators through robotics.
